With its historical fabric and beauty, Antalya is the pearl of the Mediterranean ...
The region of the first tribes who lived in Anatolia once upon a time and who shaped its culture. Today, Antalya, where the sea, sun, history and nature come together in harmony, is referred to as the Turkish Riviera.
Attalos the second, the King of Pergamo, tells his raiders to “Go and find paradise on earth”. The raiders set off with this order and after passing through many realms come to the area where Antalya is located, and when they see the unequalled beauty before them, say, “We have found paradise.” Do you want to find paradise too?
Where shall we go?
We can go to Olympos, which is known as a portal town. A few kilometers to the South West is the mound known as Çakal Tepe (hill), from the slopes of which there are continuous flames rising. Due to this natural gas coming from the slope this area is known as “Yanartaş – Çıralı”.
Hadrian's Gate, which is one of the best maintained historical structures in Antalya, hıdırlık Tower, which enabled signaling in ancient times, and the Grooved Minaret, which is one of the first Islamic structures in Antalya are among the places worth seeing. We should not forget Aspendos – one of the oldest theatres. If you coincide with the Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival which is held every year, we recommend that you do not miss the extraordinary acoustics presented by the 2000 year old Aspendos antique theatre, together with the natural beauty of Antalya, and its structure where there are no limits to the language, religion or race of art.
Among all of this natural beauty, in particular the Belek region of Antalya is fast moving towards becoming the largest centre of golf in Europe with the many international standard golf courses it possesses. If you like nightlife the Antalya nights are colourful. The bars and cafes lined next to each other in the Old Town offer different alternatives for entertainment. The best thing to do to relax after an active day is to sit in the cafes in the Old Town in the evening, sipping a cold drink.
